This grant will enable OptoCeutics to hire two PhD candidates to conduct research in collaboration with partnering institutions. The project itself will create and develop innovative technologies to study the behavior of glial cells in cognitive functions and in various diseases, including depression, epilepsy and tumors.
Funded by the European Maria Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network Grant for €4 Million, this project combines 11 beneficiaries and 14 partners from 9 European and non-European countries. Among the project partners are Cambridge University, Aix-Marseille University and The National Research Council of Italy, who are project coordinators.
